last time on Teacher's Day, saya dan dua orang guru India perempuan duduk la borak borak. they are Puan Paruvatharani (most of us call her Amma becoz of her age) while the other one is Puan Jayanthi. (we call he Mem, becoz she is wife of estate manager. sometime she came to school with her driver).
on dat day, Amma bring wajik dat she made it on her own and give it to me n Mem. (halal? dont worry la. Amma know Muslim very well. she is a vegetarian and prepared her food just like Muslim. ok!!)
kenal wajik tak? nah. ni gambarnye
si Mem ni kurang mahir masak-masak ni. maklumlah kan mem. so dia macam excited la nak makan.
Mem: waaa... amma. so hebat la. pandai kan buat kuih wajik ni. some people call it pulut manis. am i rite Raman?
Me: yeah. but in Johor, Javanese call it wajik. rajin amma buat.
Mem: yalah. kalau aku memang entah jadi apa nanti. Amma, macam mana amma buat ni?
Amma: just eat la. its just wasting my time telling u da recipe while u dont want to do it T___T
Mem: see Raman. siap ada putih-putih kat wajik tu. just like diamond. Amma, how do u make it a? so clever.
Amma: just eat laa!!! its a secret!!
Mem: aiyo. kannavalei!!! itu pon kedekut. just tell la!!
Me: dont worry Jay. im goin to reveal it how to make the diamond. its only happen when u dont mix da sugar n pulut well. some part of da pulut tak kene air gula tu.
Mem: are u sure? Amma, did he telling da truth?
Me: ya la.
Amma: dey tambi!! quiet!!! just eat la. dont talk to much. eat ittt!!! im goin to cekik u if talk much
Me: hehe :D
